All combustion engines (petrol or diesel) – cars, lorries, construction or mining machinery, generators, boats, etc. – produce soot called carbon deposits during combustion.
These carbon deposits accumulate in the cylinders, pistons, piston rings, valves, EGR valve and variable geometry device of the turbocharger.
